It looks like Crocs is ready to make the transition from 'house slippers' to formal streetwear, as designer Salehe Bembury gave us a sneak peak at what he's been cooking up with the footwear brand.
High concern reports that the upcoming Bembury and Crocs collaboration will look more like an everyday sneaker than the traditional foam slip-on we're all used to. And truth be told, we're not crazy about the design. Dubbed the 'Juniper', the upcoming Crocs sneaker silhouette not only looks as comfortable as can be, but also has a sleek look that will bring some dual shades to nature.
Per High concern:
In the Bembury preview, Bembury's signature fingerprint pattern updates the trail-worthy translucent outsole.
These precise translucent details cushion the sides of the Crocs Juniper sneaker, wrapping the midsole in a striking design.
More air vents cover the heel of the Juniper sneaker, while a classic lace system and collaborative branding hits elsewhere, subtle enough to keep the shoe stylish.
Crocs Juniper's debut sneaker wears plenty of peach hues and springtime greens and blues, creating an appropriate color palette for the Spring/Summer 2024 footwear launch.
Don't be surprised if they are hard to come by on release day.
Although Crocs also make sneakers, they are more popular for their slip-on shoes than anything else. These “Juniper” joints just might change that. If this particular silhouette is released in different colorways, they could be onto something.
