Sam Smith has reportedly split from their partner Christian Cowan.
The Unholy hitmaker, who uses they/them pronouns, and the fashion designer have reportedly broken up after a year of dating, a source told Mail Online.
“Sam and Christian decided to end their relationship before Christmas,” the insider told the outlet. “They’re still friends and will continue to support each other in their respective careers but for now they have separated.”
Sam and Christian were first romantically linked in January of last year when they were spotted spending time together in London, New York, and Paris. They began dating shortly after they worked together on Sam’s costumes for the I’m Not Here to Make Friends music video.
According to the source, the 31-year-old English singer is ready to return to the dating scene. “Sam has signed back up to dating app Raya and is already connecting with new people… it’s a new year and fresh start for them,” the insider said.
The duo were last spotted together in mid-December in New York City.
Sam’s relationship with Christian was their first public romance since their relationship with 13 Reasons Why actor Brandon Flynn. The former couple dated from late 2017 until June 2018.
