Sometimes life just has a way of reminding you that “it's all happening.” San Holo, Daniel Allan and Evalyn have transformed that feeling into a sparkling dance floor.
The trio's new collaboration fuses dreamy house production with a surge of euphoric energy, embracing the joy of living in the moment and delivering a heady anthem. With her playful vocals and floating melody, the song captures the magic of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments when life seems too good to be true.
The song has unique personal meaning for both producers. For Allan, it is a reflection of a life in rapid flowering; for Holo, resonates with the infinite joy of collaboration. Allan remembers meeting the influential bitbird founder in 2022, a pivotal moment in which the two artists connected deeply over their shared love of electronic music.
“San was one of my first real friends in LA, and he came up to me after a show and told me he was a fan. That was huge for me,” Allan says. The song itself became a reflection of that friendship, capturing a sense of wonder and inspiration in both its lyrics and production.
Recorded over the past year, “It's All Taking” is filled with personal memories. Allan says part of the song's charm even comes from an old piano he found on Facebook Marketplace, one that played dramatically in his driveway during the delivery. The seemingly irreparable piano, he explains, brought a raw, organic feel to the arrangement.
