The series has officially been around for 25 years and 22 seasons and in another “The Simpsons did it first!” For now, creator and star Seth MacFarlane has hinted that the show will continue moving forward for as long as possible.
In an interview with Los Angeles Times, MacFarlane touched on both the show's amazing longevity and the future of the series. “At this point, I don't see a good reason to stop. People still love it. It makes people happy and funds some good causes,” he stated. “It's a lot of leftover money that you can donate to the Rainforest Trust and still be able to go out to dinner that night.”
“There was a moment when I thought: it was time to end. At this point, we have reached escape velocity. “I don’t know if there’s any reason to stop at this point unless people get tired,” he continued. “Unless the numbers show that people just say, 'Hey, we don't care Family man not anymore.' But that hasn't happened yet.”
Family man It premiered in 1999, when MacFarlane was just 24 years old. After an initial run, cancellation, and eventual revival in 2005, the show has become one of television's most recognizable franchises.
