Shaboozey's “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” adds a seventh consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single, which became the singer-songwriter's first leader on the chart in July, claims the longest reign of 2024, surpassing the six Non-consecutive weeks at the top for Post Malone's “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen. The latter, now at No. 2, led the chart in May-July.
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” also records the single longest run this year on the multi-metric Hot Country Songs chart, notching an 11th week at No. 1. It bests Beyoncé's “Texas Hold'Em,” which ruled for 10 weeks in February – April.
Also in the Hot 100's top 10, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are at No. 3 with “Die With a Smile.” The superstar pair notched their 19th top 10 for the latter and 18th for the former.
The Hot 100 combines all-genre US streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, with the latter metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers. Digital single sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) websites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated August 31, 2024) will be updated on Billboard.com on Tuesday, August 27. Country hits at No. 1 & 2 for a record-tying sixth consecutive week
Thanks to Shaboozey's “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Post Malone and Morgan Wallen's “I Had Some Help,” the Hot Country Songs chart-topper has been at No. 1 and No. 2 simultaneously on the Hot 100 for the past six weeks. (The latter topped Hot Country Songs for seven weeks in May-July.) The streak is tied for the longest in Hot 100 history, since country hits took the top two spots for six consecutive weeks last August- September, via Jason Aldean's “Try It in a Small Town.” Wallen's “Last Night.” Luke Combs' “Fast Car.” Oliver Anthony Music's “Rich Men North of Richmond.” and “I Remember Everything' by Zach Bryan, featuring Kacey Musgraves.
“I Had Some Help” remains the hottest hit on the Songs of the Summer chart, where it dominates for a 13th week, topping every week since the seasonal survey returned after Memorial Day.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars come in at No. 3
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' “Die With a Smile” climbs the Hot 100 at No. 3 with 27.4 million streams, 13 million in radio reach and 21,000 sold (digital and physical singles combined). The duet, released on August 16, also debuts at No. 1 on digital song sales (becoming the former's 10th No. 1 and the latter's ninth).
Bruno Mars earns his 19th Hot 100 top 10 and Lady Gaga her 18th. Aris last reached the region with the No. 5 charting “Smokin Out the Window,” as one half of Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak, in November 2021.
