Shaboozey's “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” completes 15th run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song, which became the singer-songwriter's first Hot 100 chart-topper in July, extends his longest reign to 2024. It also ties Harry Styles' “As It Was” in 2022 for the second-longest reign this decade. Morgan Wallen's “Last Night” — like “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” a country-pop crossover hit — dominated for 16 weeks in 2023.
In the entire 66-year history of the Hot 100, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” becomes one of only six hits to chart for at least 16 weeks.
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” further extends its longest No. 1 run of 2024 on the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart, adding a 19th week at the top spot.
The Hot 100 combines all-genre US streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, with the latter metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers. #1 in Airplay, Streams & Sales at the same time
“A Bar Song (Tipsy),” on American Dogwood/EMPIRE (with country radio promotion by Magnolia Music), amassed 74 million total radio audience impressions (down 2% week-over-week), 24.9 million official streams (down 6% ) and below 6,000 sales (down 8%) in the United States October 11-17.
The track dominates all three Hot 100 charts: It maintains a 12th week at No. 1 on Radio Songs and a ninth frame at No. 1 on Streaming Songs, and rebounds 2-1 for a 14th week atop digital song sales.
(Notably, this week marks the first in which the top-selling download has sold less than 6,000 since Digital Song Sales began publication in the January 22, 2005 issue. The 45 weeks with the lowest totals have occurred since of 2022. Bulletin board reported in January, US digital track sales fell for an 11th straight year in 2023, falling 11.9% to 133.9 million from 151.9 million in 2022.)
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is one of only 12 hits to lead all three Hot 100 metrics simultaneously. It triples for a third week, becoming the first song to do so multiple times since Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's “Despacito” featuring Justin Bieber in 2017.

It's the longest run on the chart simultaneously since Mariah Carey's “We Belong Together” doubled for 14 non-consecutive weeks in 2005. Shaboozey's hit ties the longest consecutive reign since “Yeah!” by Usher. led both lists simultaneously for 12 consecutive weeks in 2004.

Hits with most weeks at No. 1 of all time
As noted above, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” ties Harry Styles' “As It Was” for the second weeks spent at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in the 2020s, each trailing only “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen. (16 weeks, 2023).
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is also now one of only six No. 1s in Hot 100 history to amass 15 or more weeks at the top – out of 1,174 total chart-toppers dating back to the chart's inception on Aug. 4, 1958. (All six predated the chart's adoption of electronically controlled Luminate data in November 1991, so long reigns from before became more common thereafter.)

Billie Eilish's 'Birds of a Feather' is at No. 2 Hot 100 high for third week. It also topped the multimetric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs charts for an 11th week each.
Sabrina Carpenter has three songs in the Hot 100's top 10 for an eighth straight week: “Espresso,” her first top 10, rebounds 4-3 at its peak. “Taste” slips 7-8 after debuting at No. 2 best. and “Please Please Please” falls 9-10 after becoming her first No. 1 in June. Thanks to the trio of hits, all from her album Short n' Sweethas become one of only six acts to triple in the top 10 for eight consecutive weeks or more.
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' “Die With a Smile” rises 5-4 on the Hot 100 after reaching No. 3, and Post Malone's “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, falls 3-5; after six weeks at No. 1 dating back to its debut in May.
