The Steve Albini Tent will be set up on the festival grounds directly opposite the Plenitude Tent. “Goodbye, Steve. Following Albini's death, Primavera Sound shared a tribute to the musician on social media. “We are disappointed to learn of the death of Steve Albini at the age of 61. We lost a legend, a friend, a member of our family. What will we do without you, Steve?' read the post. “After welcoming them to 15 editions of the festival, it's impossible to imagine a Primavera sound without them, because no band explains it to us better than Shellac.”
Shellac last appeared at Primavera Sound in 2023, playing the festival's repeats in Barcelona and Madrid, Spain, along with its show in Porto, Portugal. Their appearance at this year's event would come just weeks after their latest album, To all trains, arrived last Friday. The festival will play the album as a medium to allow fans to pay tribute and build community together.
