The ShipRocked 2024 cruise ship boarded in Miami on February 4, making stops in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Bimini, Bahamas, before returning to Miami on February 10. The Carnival Magic ship experienced a couple of bumps along the way due to bad weather, including a crash into a dock in Ocho Rios, causing the cancellation of a planned stop in Grand Cayman. However, this year's ShipRockers were rocked by the likes of I Prevail, Killswitch Engage and more. Photojournalist Amy Harris was on board Heavy Consequence. See her photo gallery and journal entries below, and learn about ShipRocked 2025 via cruise official website.

DAY ONE:
-
Bad weather caused some changes to the schedule, but ShipRockers came together to enjoy the festival.
-
Beloved former Carnival Cruise Director Cookie began with a performance of “Thriller” on the Deck stage.
-
Columbus, Ohio rockers Beartooth followed with a raucous performance that had singer Caleb Shomo's voice roaring through the crowd.
-
Crobot had fun in the theater with singer Brandon Yeagley dazzling in a mirrored vest and tight black pants.
-
From Ashes To New had fans singing along to the hits “Broken,” “My Fight,” and “Through It All.”
-
Powerful sister trio The Warning made their debut on board. They bounced around the stage, as each member riled up the crowd to match their energy.
-
Killswitch Engage finished the day on the Deck Stage wearing matching Hawaiian shirts and shorts. As “Jaws” played on the screen behind them, the band performed “My Curse,” “This Fire,” and “Hate By Design,” in which singer Jesse Leach serenaded the crowd at the barricade.
DAY TWO:
-
The second day was a sea day, allowing guests to relax and build up their day with more downtime.
-
The morning meetings were Nonpoint, Dorothy, Dayseeker and Point North.
-
The meet and greets of the afternoon were Black Stone Cherry, Fire From the Gods, Killswitch Engage and Highly Suspect.
-
The Gearheads attended a Paul Reed Smith guitar talk with Daniela Villareal Vélez of The Warning and Dylan Bowman of I Prevail. Music Experience founder and owner Squiggy DiGiacomo hosted.
-
Sleep Theory’s set oozed sultry R&B vibes and their cover of *NSYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye” was iconic.
-
Badflower's set was cut short due to inclement weather and I Prevail had to be completely rescheduled for the same reason.
DAY THREE:
-
On the third day, strong winds and current caused the ship to crash into the harbor while ShipRockers enjoyed a stop in the port of Ocho Rios.
-
After 6 p.m., the guests who had abandoned the ship were finally able to reboard and Fire From the Gods began the performances. For singer AJ Channer, affectionately known as Metal Marley because of his heritage, performing while docked in Ocho Rios was a milestone in his career. He dedicated “INI” to his father and the sky opened with rain during the tribute.
-
Nonpoint made fun of the situation and began with “What a Day.” Singer Elías Soriano said: “If a hole in the side of the ship won't stop us, the rain won't stop us.”
DAY FOUR:
-
The fourth day began with the ship still docked in Ocho Rios for inspections.
-
As the rum punch flowed, Dorothy and Dayseeker provided VIP guests with a unique acoustic experience.
-
I Prevail was finally able to deliver its headlining performance on the Deck Stage. They drove the crowd wild with “Bow Down,” “Scars,” and “FWYTYK,” as well as teasers for System of a Down’s “Chop Suey” and Limp Bizkit’s “Break Stuff.”
-
The Stowaways, the ShipRocked-curated supergroup, brought many heavyweights to the stage. Crobot's Brandon Yeagley performed Red Hot Chili Peppers' “Give It Away,” while Steel Panther frontman Michael Starr performed his cover of Judas Priest's “You've Got Another Thing Comin'.”
-
Dead Sara's Emily Armstrong tugged at our heartstrings with Celine Dion's “My Heart Will Go On,” but her cover of The Smashing Pumpkins' “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” was one of the most incredible performances of the day.
-
Breaking Benjamin's Keith Wallen performed as Stowaway before debuting songs from his upcoming solo project at the theater.
-
Black Stone Cherry smashed it with “White Trash Millionaire,” “Blind Man,” and new releases “Screamin' at the Sky” and “Nervous.” Surprisingly, the Kentucky natives also performed a cover of Tracy Chapman's “Give Me One Reason.”
-
Newcomer Winona Fighter delivered a hard-hitting set at the Ocean Lounge later that night.
DAY FIVE:
-
The day began with codes over the loudspeaker at 4:30 a.m., but the cruise continued when it became clear that these were just false alarms.
-
The morning matches were Badflower, Beartooth, Crobot and Eva Under Fire. In the afternoon, guests were introduced to I Prevail, The Warning and The Stowaways.
-
ShipRocked Captain Alan Koenig hosted a question and answer session, where he told the audience that they are planned through 2026 and credited them with the cruise's success.
-
The Music Experience hosted the finale of “30 Seconds to Shred” before the day’s music began. Cody and Fitz faced off to win bragging rights and a guitar.
-
Dorothy took the stage to offer rock full of blues and soul. Her set included the hits “Down to the Bottom” and “What's Coming to Me.”
-
Beartooth, Black Stone Cherry and Killswitch Engage performed their second performances of the day. Killswitch would surely include “My Last Serenade,” which had been removed from their first set. Their set was filled with fan-selected songs that were sent in on dream setlist cards earlier in the week.
-
Dreamlike lighting set the tone for Highly Suspect's theatrical set. “My name is human,” “Serotonia,” and “Lydia” echoed in the room.

Members of From Ashes to New organized Beach Wars in Bimini.
-
The Warning rocked their final set aboard ShipRocked 2024.
-
Q&As from fan-favorite artists included Killswitch Engage's Jesse Leach, Sleep Theory's Cullen More, The Warning's Daniela Villarreal Vélez, Highly Suspect's Johnny Stevens, Crobot's Brandon Yeagley, and Luna Aura.
-
Eva Under Fire sang the hits “Comatose,” “Unstoppable” and “Blow” to a full house at the theater.
-
Dead Poets Society and Dayseekers offered their last sets of the cruise.
-
The Stowaways took the stage to perform their horror-themed set. Crobot’s Brandon Yeagley and Dead Sara’s Emily Armstrong gave us chills with their cover of Danzig’s “Mother.”
-
Nonpoint's Elias Soriano performed an exceptional cover of Pantera's “Cowboys From Hell” before teaming up with Blacktop Mojo singer Matt James on Alice Cooper's “Feed My Frankenstein.”
-
Blacktop Mojo's Matt James paid an otherworldly tribute to Layne Staley with Alice and Chains' “Them Bones.”
