Do you hear victory?
Skrillex, Fred Again… and Flowdan's 2023-defining 'Rumble' won the 2024 Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance album at the premiere ceremony on Sunday (February 4) in Los Angeles.
Taking the stage alone to accept the award, a spiky Skrillex noted that “for anyone out there who wants to make music, the best advice I've ever gotten is that success is something you attract, not something you try to chase or catch.
“The other thing I want to say, for all the young people,” the producer continued, “I know people are crazy right now, I really hope we start listening to each other and everybody across the aisle or whoever with a different perspective we realize they are not enemies and I really hope we can start listening to each other and talking and this last thing I want to say is of course much love to Fred again.. much love to Flowdan. Flowdan is one of the biggest underground music inspirations in my life [sniffles], I'm sorry, I have a cold right now and to get a Grammy with these guys, my best friends who make music that we just love, I'm not trying to be successful, I'm not trying to do anything but push music forward , this is for those guys, and thank you all.”
The win marks Skrillex's ninth Grammy win, the first win for Flowdan and the second win again for Fred.., whose Real life 3 also won the 2024 Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic album during Sunday's Premiere Ceremony.
