Slash has had a busy year, releasing a new solo album, unveiling exclusive guitar models and planning a traveling blues festival. But the year 2025 will be “all about Guns N' Roses,” in the guitarist's own words.
In a new interview, Slash talked about his future plans now that he just released his blues LP. Orgy of the damned. Not only is he set to record a new album with his long-time band, Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, but GN'R also appears to have big plans in store for 2025.
“I'm going to go into the studio with the Conspirators, make a new record and after that, 2025 will be all about Guns N' Roses,” he said. Loudwire Nights of his plans after his upcoming summer tour. “We're trying to make some things work with that. I think there will be a small tour in the summer of next year. I heard a rumor about that anyway, so we’ll focus on that.”
He added: “But before that, it's the 'SERPENT' tour, and then the Conspirators.”
The “SERPENT” traveling blues festival, where Slash headlines a lineup that includes the Warren Haynes Band, Keb' 'Mo, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Robert Randolph and other artists, kicks off July 5 in Bonner, Montana. and play a show August 17 in Grand Prairie, Texas (get tickets here).
As for GN'R, the rock legends took the year off while Slash and bassist Duff McKagan focused on their respective solo albums and tours. That being said, Guns N' Roses has been gaining momentum over the last two years with the release of the hard school EP in 2022 and two one-off singles in 2023.
While there is no definitive information on the long-awaited follow-up of chinese democracySlash's latest comments imply that the band will likely hit the road next year for some tour dates.
