Saturday night live Host Josh Brolin teamed up with Heidi Gardner to play bank customers caught up in a robbery who use their kindness to help the robbers pull off their mission.
After two armed men dressed in black enter, Gardner eggs them on despite their reluctance to engage with her.
“Isn't anyone getting hurt? Yeah right. I've seen enough movies to know what happens to a chick like me. Take me to the vault and finish me off, you bad guys!' he exclaims, prompting one of the robbers (James Austin Johnson) to reply, “Lady, shut up!”
Brolin, wanting in on the action, shouts, “And what am I supposed to do, just watch? Look helpless as you have your way with my pliable wife?'
A minute later, the pair are revealed to have tied their hands themselves.
“We didn't want to give you sick people the satisfaction,” Brolin says. “God, I can picture it now: you're probably going to take my chick off the back and lay her on a bed and make a dirty movie in the vault. You disgust me!”
Despite the second robber (Devon Walker) insisting they want nothing to do with his wife, Brolin informs him that he and Gardner “just opened our marriage.”
The addition of Marcello Hernandez as a getaway driver was a bonus for them. “Oh look at that!” Gardner looked. “A barely legal Latino!”
As the three robbers gather and decide how to proceed, Brolin and Gardner strip to their underwear. Now they are also in handcuffs.
“Know this: I do pilates, okay?” Brolin tells them as he props his leg up on a desk. “It will hurt you more than it will hurt me.”
As police sirens approach, the robbers take off, but Brolin and Gardner imagine cops involved in their plans.
“I hope these musk pigs don't try to join,” says Gardner.
“But if they do, he'll film it,” Brolin enthuses, pointing to bank teller Bowen Young, who has tried desperately to avoid anything to do with the pair.
“Keep me out of it!” Yang shouts.
This sketch wasn't the only time Brolin stripped back certain layers, like the Dune the star jumped into an ice bath to close his monologue.
