Prepare your chocolate starfish: 7-Eleven is launching a new hot dog-flavored sparkling water drink. There is apparently no affiliation with nu-metal pioneers Limp Bizkit, who released the famous multi-platinum album in 2000. Chocolate starfish and hot dog flavored water.
“7-Select Big Bite Hot Dog Sparkling Water” launches as part of a new line of sparkling beverages created in collaboration with art-inspired brand Miracle Seltzer. Other flavors include lemon lime, green apple, and sweet orange, but it's the Big Bite Hot Dog flavor, inspired by 7-Eleven's famous rolling dog, that has our inner nu-metal kid salivating.
“Big Bite Hot Dog Sparkling Water combines the delicious, delicious experience of 7-Eleven's iconic Big Bite Hot Dog in a refreshing drink, ketchup and mustard included,” says 7-Eleven's. official description. “Gone are the days of alternating bites of a hot dog with sips of a drink, now those on the go can swap the bun for bubbles.”
The innovators at Big Gulp even went so far as to call hot dog water “a bold flavor that pushes the boundaries of flavor innovation.” We will also reiterate that the drink does not appear to be affiliated with Limp Bizkit and Chocolate starfish and hot dog flavored water (although there surely was some inspiration there).
“7-Eleven constantly seeks innovative and unique experiences for our customers, and the 7-Select x Miracle Seltzer line is sure to delight even the most adventurous palates,” 7-Eleven executive Marissa Jarratt said in the press release. “We are excited for customers to embark on this flavor adventure and experience their favorite snack in a whole new way.”

More details on the specific availability of the hot dog-flavored sparkling water will be released next Monday (April 1), when the rest of the sparkling beverage line arrives at 7-Eleven stores nationwide. Everything seems pretty official about the announcement, so if this is an elaborate April Fool's Day prank, 7-Eleven is preparing it well in advance.
And if it really is a real drink, hot dog water would be available in time for Limp Bizkit's upcoming North American tour. The outing, which features support from Corey Feldman and more, begins in mid-July. Get up tickets here.
