While Sony released the PlayStation 5 “Slim” in November 2023, the new generation refresh of the game console is being sold for the lowest price ever.
On sale for $US449 ($499.99) at Walmart, the new PS5 “Slim” Disc Edition has almost the same specs and features as the previous model, including 4K gaming with HDR (High Dynamic Range) image quality for vivid colors and deep black level, up to 120 FPS (Frames per second) with 120 Hz output for smooth action, backward compatibility with PS4 games and more. However, it is more than 30% smaller in volume and 18% lighter.
And since it's from Walmart, you'll get the PS5 Slim shipped to your home for free once it's available if you're a Walmart+ member.

Meanwhile, this is the disc version of the console and comes with a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray drive that's detachable to make it even slimmer when not in use, while the console retains its white look and feel with a new four panel this makes it more customizable. The top two panels are glossy, while the bottom two are matte.
The Sony console has four USB ports (two USB-C front and two rear USB-A) for expansion, inputs and peripherals, as well as HDMI and Ethernet output ports. It also includes a removable 4K Blu-ray drive and 1TB of built-in storage, which is up from the previous model's 825GB SSD (Solid-State Drive).
Inside the box, you'll find a Sony PS5 DualSense wireless controller, an HDMI cable, and an AC power cord. While it comes with a horizontal stand, it doesn't come with a vertical stand, as the photo above would suggest, unfortunately. Sold separately for an additional $29.99.
