Stars have reacted to video of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs seemingly beating Cassie Ventura
50 Cent and Emily Ratajkowski led celebrity criticism after hotel security footage emerged that appeared to depict Diddy assaulting her in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel.
The video, obtained by CNN, shows Diddy, 54, chasing Cassie, 37, down the hall of the hotel before grabbing her and throwing her to the ground. He then kicked her as she lay on the ground motionless, before leaving the scene briefly, then returning and throwing objects in her direction.
50 Cent, 48, took to his social media soon after the video surfaced, writing, “Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing ! This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all.”
He also reposted a statement published by Diddy in December 2023.
“Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday,” Diddy had written in the statement. “Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.’ Emily Ratajkowski, 32, merely wrote, “monster”.
Cassie’s lawyer released a statement describing the footage as “gut-wrenching”.
“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” the statement read.
“Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
