Last week, Kelly shared the new music video for the title track from his upcoming album, 'Inevitable Incredible', directed by Kelly himself, in collaboration with BAFTA-nominated cinematographer John Conroy (Luther, Westworld, Broadchurch). Watch the video BELOW:
Recently released track 'Inevitable Incredible' marked a bold stylistic shift for Kelly Jones, long established as one of the UK's most prolific, successful and loved singer-songwriters. Cinematic, widescreen, piano-led soundscapes are something new and bold for Jones. It's a song that shows a songwriter stepping out of his comfort zone and with a vulnerability not usually associated with a major artist after a quarter century of such a successful and historic career.
For the past 25 years, Jones' band Stereophonics has been a mainstay on the radio and on stage, writing anthems that are etched into the heart of the public consciousness like few others. Following up on 2022's chart-topping album 'Oochya!' – Stereophonics' eighth UK number one album, and its corresponding sold-out stadium and arena tour, which included two sold-out nights at Cardiff's 60,000-capacity Principality Stadium, Jones changed course again with the recent UK success of Far From Saints, who received critical and commercial success last year for their American-influenced album, which debuted in the Top 5 of the Official UK Albums Chart and topped the specialist charts of Official albums from UK country and Americana artists. Now, with 'Inevitable Incredible', Jones shows the continued evolution of him as an artist, able to adapt and direct his talents as a composer in ways that complement and expand his work.
