The festival account added: “After welcoming them to 15 editions of the festival, it's impossible for us to imagine a Primavera sound without them, because no band explains it to us better than Shellac.”

Nick Zanca, the Queens-based producer, composer and writer known for his work as Mister Lies, also shared kind words for Albini. “His productivity, musical fluidity, prioritization of equality, and staunch opposition to the industry's status quo are aspirational,” he wrote in X. “We producers should all aspire to the standards he set. time to lift weights on the Big Black.”
“I love this man's recording and all his bands,” the Ataris was posted of Albini. “Sonically his drum sound was unique.” The band also said: “Thank you for your unmistakable mark on music and recording.”
And Operation shared simply, “Extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Steve Albini 💔.”
