Stevie Nicks had to cancel her concert on Saturday night (June 15) at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, a statement citing “band illness” on the singer's official social media accounts.
“Unfortunately, due to illness in the band, tonight's show has been postponed. Please keep your tickets. A new date will be announced soon,” the update initially said posted from the field at 5:30 p.m. ET. The update was later added to Nicks' Instagram and Facebook stories and shared on her X (formerly Twitter) page.
Advertising sign Nicks' representatives were reached for comment on Sunday. At press time, no further details or updates have been provided.
The rock icon and Fleetwood Mac singer, 76, was expected to take the stage Saturday night on the final stop of her ongoing Live in Concert US tour.
Nicks' show was postponed a few hours before the show.
In posts on social media, fans reported that the concert was canceled at the time the doors were scheduled to open, when they were already queuing to enter the concert venues. A video posted by a concertgoer in the comments of the announcement stated that the sound check took place on Saturday afternoon.
From Sunday (June 16) Nicks' published schedule has appeared June 18 in Grand Rapids and June 21 in Chicago. What follows is a short break in her schedule until July 3rd, when she is set to travel to Europe for a concert in Dublin, Ireland. UK dates (Glasgow, Manchester and London) follow, followed by stops in Antwerp, Belgium and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Last weekend Advertising sign saw Nicks and her touring band perform a live show at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, with a 15-song setlist featuring solo hits and classics from the Fleetwood Mac discography, complete with plenty of career anecdotes told between songs. “My stories are starting to get as long as the show,” he joked on the June 9 show.
After opening with Bella Donnaof “Outside the Rain” and plays the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “Dreams”, by Fleetwood Mac's Rumors, Nicks was in good spirits, telling the cheering crowd, “We're so happy to be here. We have to fly in a helicopter. It was really great.”
