Sting has come to the rescue as a replacement headliner for Bourbon & Beyond after Neil Young pulled out of the festival due to illness.
Bourbon & Beyond 2024 will take place Sept. 19-22 at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Sting, who will take Neil Young's place as headliner on Friday, Sept. 19, will play as part of a trio he has dubbed “Sting 3.0”: Sting on bass, Dominic Miller on guitar and Chris Maas on drums.
“While we will miss Neil Young at Bourbon this year, we are excited to welcome a music legend, Sting, to the Bourbon & Beyond lineup,” said Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents. “We have been trying to bring Sting to Bourbon for you since 2018 and it is an incredible honor to have him join us for what will undoubtedly be our biggest and most unforgettable year yet.”
Sting has been taking his Sting 3.0 trio on tour in Europe for a stretch of dates that began in late May following an appearance at the BeachLife Festival in California. He will return to North America to resume his Sting 3.0 tour in mid-September ahead of his Bourbon & Beyond appearance; the tour will then visit cities including Toronto, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, Miami, Chicago and San Francisco before concluding in Los Angeles in November. Sting will also play three shows with Billy Joel during his North American tour. Tickets for Sting's upcoming concert dates can be purchased here.
In addition to Sting, Bourbon & Beyond 2024 will feature headliners from Zach Bryan, Dave Matthews Band, and Tyler Childers. Fleet Foxes, The War on Drugs, Black Pumas, Beck, The National, Matchbox 20, Maren Morris, Teddy Swims, Melissa Etheridge, The Beach Boys, My Morning Jacket, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Arlo Parks will also play Bourbon & Beyond 2024.
