If you thought Subtronics and Rezz couldn't improve on their chilling collaboration “Black Ice,” think again.
After showing an updated version at Beyond Wonderland in SoCal earlier this year, they finally released it with an impressive vocal contribution from Phantogram.
While it still feels familiar, the track also feels brand new as Phantogram's ethereal vocals float beautifully over the song's brave arrangement. The original version of “Black Ice” evoked a dark atmosphere that Subtronics and Rezz fans sank their teeth into, but Phantogram adds even more depth to its haunting soundscapes.
Year after year, Subtronics continues to push its career even further. In 2024, he released his mammoth second album. TESSERACT and took him on a surprising journey. Rezz also recently released a new album, the hard-hitting You can see me?.
