Suitable for autopsy brings their dynamic tour to Toad's Place in New Haven with Judiciary, Sylosis, Distant and Bodysnatcher in support.
Going out on a Sunday night can be difficult with work the next morning, but this lineup did not disappoint and was definitely worth the lack of sleep. Usually the opening bands are ok but I have to say this was a show where all 5 bands were fantastic and had the crowd grooving and surfing from the start.
The opening of the show was Courtsa band from Lubbock, Texas These guys are a hardcore punk/metalcore band and they're on fire! The members consist of Jake Collinson on vocals, Kyle Calfin on guitar, Austin Scott-Looney on drums, Israel Garza on guitar and Jerel Ramirez on bass. Judiciary stands out for its unique sound and strong lyrics. Their music combines elements of hardcore and thrash, making it fresh and exciting.

The Judiciary displays raw emotion and intense energy, which resonates with fans. This powerful sound creates an atmosphere that is ideal for live performances. The crowd's energy in turn fuels the band's performance. When Judiciary play live, the connection between the band and the audience is undeniable, making every show an unforgettable experience. What a killer way to open a show with these guys.
Next on the scene was yet another group of killers. Looks like this night is going to be heavy and loud. Consolidation are a British heavy metal band from Reading, Berkshire signed to Nuclear Blast Records and formed in 2000. Members are Josh Middleton, Ali Richardson, Conor Marshall and Ben Thomas. Sylosis stand out with their impressive combination of melodic death metal and thrash. Their intricate guitar playing and powerful vocals create a mesmerizing sound that engages the audience.

The energy they bring to the stage is infectious, making it impossible for fans to sit still, with the whole crowd surfing and moshing. Their performance feels like a journey, as Sylosis takes the audience through a range of emotions, from aggression to introspection. I really enjoyed seeing them for the first time and can't wait to see them again.
Sylosis was followed by an extremely heavy and brutal band called Distant. The crowd went crazy for these guys. Distant is from Rotterdam, Netherlands and Bratislava, Slovakia. The band consists of Alan Grnja on vocals, Elmer Maurits on bass, Nouri Yelgin on guitar and Rene Gerbrandij on drums. Distant did not disappoint as they took to the stage and delivered an unforgettable night. From the moment Distant began their set, the energy in the room was palpable.

The band opened with powerful tracks like “Hollow” and “Doomscroll”, instantly captivating the audience. Their unique blend of deathcore and metalcore created a heavy atmosphere that reverberated throughout the venue. Fans responded with excitement, headbanking and cheering as the band showcased their impressive musicianship and raw intensity.
The musicianship displayed by Distant was remarkable. The intricate guitar riffs and powerful drums were perfectly complemented by the strong vocals. The band's ability to mix crashes with melodic elements kept the crowd engaged and eager for more. Once again, each song was like a journey. Distant also took the audience through a range of emotions, from aggression to moments of reflection.
He was fourth on stage Bodysnatcher. This show is amazing with one great band after another. Bodysnatcher took the stage with King of Rats and the fans loved it from the first second. These guys are a rising star in the heavy music scene and deserve attention for their unique sound and powerful messages. This band not only captivates listeners with their intense music but also inspires them to face personal struggles and social issues.

The band consists of Kyle Medina on vocals, Kyle Shope on bass, Kyle Carter on guitar and Chris Whited on drums and these guys hail from Melbourne, Florida.
Last but certainly not least, Suitable for autopsy took the stage with their song “Lower Purpose”. I was excited to finally see these guys and what a great show they put on. Suitable for an autopsy is an American deathcore band that combines groove and death metal as well as their own personal distinctions. They combine heavy riffs and powerful energy and made it an unforgettable experience for metalheads. This combination of crushing guitar riffs and aggressive drumming created an atmosphere that was both electrifying and immersive.

The fans quickly got involved, with lots of headbanging and moshing, energized by the band's raw intensity.
