Sum 41 will end their career with an induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place during Canada's JUNO Awards, scheduled for March 30 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
The honor will come a couple of months after Sum 41 wraps up its farewell tour, which is scheduled to end with a two-night stand on January 28 and 30 at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena. Tickets for the remaining shows are available here.
“We are excited to be back in JUNOS and receive this recognition,” Sum 41 said in a press release. “We've come so far as a band since we started and we look forward to celebrating in Vancouver with our fans and fellow Canadian artists.”
Sum 41 will join the ranks of past Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees including Neil Young, Nickelback, Alanis Morissette and Shania Twain, among others.
The 54th annual JUNO Awards, hosted by Michael Bublé, will air live across Canada on March 30 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT on CBC TV and globally on CBC Music. youtube channel.
Last year, Sum 41 announced that they would be disbanding after a tour and a final album. The band released the album. Heaven :x: Hell in March of this year and will travel across Canada in January for the final leg of their farewell tour.
