Months after Super7 debuted their Salt-N-Pepa action figures, the pop culture collectibles company is once again giving Hip-Hoppers something to cop to as they announced that the next rapper they plan to immortalize is none other than by MF DOOM.
According VarietySuper7 will release an action figure of the 'Doomsday' rapper to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of his classic album Crazy. And we can't even go ahead, the figure looks dope. While other action figures depicting the legendary Hip-Hop MC have been created, Super7's iteration of DOOM stands out as it will be quite massive and take up a lot of space on any mantel or display case.
Per Variety:
Inspired by the group's comic-book music video for “All Caps,” Super7 created a posed, 16″ tall vinyl collectible of Doom in his signature fedora, trench coat, and metal mask.
While this isn't the first Super7 MF Doom action figure to be produced, it's certainly taller than what was previously released a while back.
Although Super7 previously released (now sold out) 4″ figures of Doom inspired by the cover art for his 1999 debut “Operation: Doomsday” and a companion piece by collaborator Czarface, this release is the marquee collectible in their line and couldn't come at a better time: just weeks after Marvel Studios announced that Robert Downey Jr. has been cast as his namesake, Doctor Doom, in two upcoming “Avengers” movies.
We can't wait to tackle this joint.
Along with the release of the action figure, Super7 will also be releasing an exclusive capsule collection featuring merchandise and apparel including shirts, pullovers, stickers and even a skate deck for skateboarders who religiously hit MF DOOM. We may need to remove some things from this collection.
The Super7 x MF DOOM Collection will be released at 11:00 AM. EST on August 5th and will only be available until 11:59 PM EST on August 7th.
