Oasis' iconic debut album Sure Maybe has re-entered its peak UK Official Albums Chart30 years after its original release in 1994.
This is the first time in 14 years that Liam and Noel Gallagher, along with the rest of Oasis, have topped the Official Albums Chart together.
The album, which debuted at No. 1 three decades ago, has returned to the summit thanks to the release of its 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition. The new version features previously unreleased material including the Monnow Valley sessions, the Sawmills recordings and an alternate demo of “Sad Song”.
The album saw a staggering 408% week-over-week sales increase, with over 50% of its total weekly sales coming from vinyl, consolidating its position at No.1 on both Official Albums Chart and the Official Vinyl album Chart.
Along the side Sure maybetwo other Oasis albums entered the Top 5: Time flies… 1994-2009their 2009 greatest hits collection rose to No.3 and their seminal 1995 album (What's The Story) Morning Glory? reached number 4.
The band's remarkable performance on the charts coincides with the announcement of the highly anticipated Oasis Live '25 reunion tour, planned for 2025, where they will perform in major UK cities such as Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh.
Due to huge audience demand, extra dates have already been added at Wembley Stadium.
Elsewhere on the chart, last week's topper, Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweethas moved to No.2 after an impressive run and continues to perform well despite Oasis' return to the top spot.
Meanwhile, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds celebrate their seventh UK Top 10 album as their latest release. wild Godenters the chart at No. 5. English rockers Wunderhorse also secured their first Top 10 album with Midaslanding at No. 6
On this week's chart, Vegas-formed Palaye Royale claim the No. 38 spot with their latest release. Death or Glory.
