Future, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar's “Like That” falls to No. 2 after spending its first three weeks on the Hot 100 at No. 1. It also tops the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap charts Songs, which use the same multimetric methodology as the Hot 100, for a fourth week each.
Benson Boone's “Beautiful Things” sits at No. 3 on the Hot 100 after peaking at No. 2, and Teddy Swims' “Lose Control” remains at No. 4, four weeks after becoming his first No. 1. The latter records a second week on Top Radio Songs (69.9 million, essentially even every week).
Beyoncé's “Texas Hold 'Em” climbs 6-5 on the Hot 100 after a two-week reign in early March. It leads the Hot Country Songs multimetric chart for a 10th week.
Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10, Jack Harlow's “Lovin on Me” climbs 7-6, after six consecutive weeks at No. 1 beginning in December. Ariana Grande's “We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” holds steady at No. 8 after debuting at No. 1 in March. Noah Kahan's “Stick Season” climbs to a new No. 9 high, up from No. 10. and SZA's No. 6 peak “Saturn” returns to territory (15-10) as it leads Hot R&B Songs for fourth week.
Also, and predictably – with limited availability for airplay during the April 12-18 tracking week – J. Cole's “7 Minute Drill” falls off the Hot 100, a week after debuting at No. 6. On the song, it appears responds to Lamar's apparent feuds directed at him and Drake on “Like That.” Days after the April 5th release of “7 Minute Drill” on his album It may be deleted later, J. Cole apologized for its arrival, explaining that it “didn't fit my spirit,” and the track was removed from the LP's streaming service on April 12. As of April 22, it is still available on the digital download version of the set, though not for individual purchase apart from the album.
The song rewrites the record for steepest drop from the Hot 100 a week after its debut, surpassing Soko's viral hit “We Might Bead by Tomorrow,” which spent a week on the survey at No. 9 in April 2014 .
