SZA has promised fans she will drop new music soon.
During a recent appearance on Kai Cenat’s livestream alongside fellow star Lizzo, the singer-songwriter divulged that she has a “whole new project” in the works.
While SZA attempted to remain tight-lipped about her upcoming music, when YouTube personality Kai pushed her for details, she admitted it “will be out before the year is over”.
The Good Days star, real name Solána Rowe, didn’t offer any further information.
SZA dropped her second studio album, SOS, in December 2022, and later revealed plans to release a deluxe edition.
However, that project evolved into its own album titled Lana, which consists of solely new music.
And in an interview for the December 2024 issue of British Vogue, SZA indicated her new tracks will showcase a different side of her personality.
“I think I am making music from a more beautiful place. From a more possible place versus a more angsty place,” she said. “I’m not identifying with my brokenness. It’s not my identity. It’s s**t that happened to me. Yeah, I experienced cruelty. I have to put it down at some point. Piece by piece, my music is shifting because of that, the lighter I get.”
