Tate McRae talks tour must-haves, her friendship with Olivia Rodrigo, and her participation in “Bad Idea Right?” music video and his fashion choices growing up in Billboard News' Behind the Photo.
Tate McRae:
Hi, I'm Tate McRae and this is Behind the photo with Billboard.
OMG, this is me on the tour bus. My first tour, a North American tour. Obviously, you wake up and feel very bloated because you see a lot of people, you dance every night, a lot of things happen. I have this, like an ice mask that has ice in it, and my photographer took this photo. He was sitting in my front room like this. Pretty iconic.
Oh Lord. This is crazy. This is me when I was a child. I have the wildest baby photos you've ever seen. I don't know what I would wear every day. I always say to my mom, “How could you let me leave the house like that?” But she always wore huge scarves over her head. I was just the chubbiest kid ever, who didn't care about my looks or anything and was always chilling. Nice gangster, always.
This last photo is a photo of me and my friends, the best of all. They're so beautiful. This was at the filming of Olivia's music video for “Bad Idea Right?” We were all in the music video. It was so nice. It was in this small neighborhood. We were all driving around in golf carts. We literally only filmed for about 10 minutes, and then we just spent the rest of the day. But they are the best. I love these girls. They are so talented and the sweetest.
