Women dominate the top five of the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated July 13), as four of the top five titles are by female artists. It's the first time in a year that at least four of the top five are by women or by female acts.
By Taylor Swift Department of Tormented Poets achieves 11th week at Megan Thee Stallion's No. 1 Megan debut at No. 3, by Billie Eilish Hit with hard and soft is non-movable at No. 4 and Chappell Roan's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess reaches the top five for the first time, going up 6-5. (Morgan Wallen is the lone man in the top five, as his former No. 1 One thing at a time goes up 3-2.)
Women last had at least four of the top five on the Billboard 200 on March 24, 2023. One thing at a time was No. 1, female group TWICE debuted at No. 2 with Ready To BeMiley Cyrus' Endless summer vacation bowed out at SZA's No.3 warning sign Karol G's also fell 2-4 Mañana Será Bonito dipped 3-5.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the US based on multimetric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units include album sales, track album equivalents (TEA) and streaming album equivalents (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale or 10 individual tracks sold from an album or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 official paid/subscription audio and video streams generated from songs from an album.
