It really is a tough summer Taylor Swifthis new wax figure, which has garnered not-so-positive reviews from fans since the attraction was unveiled by the Panoptikum Wax Museum earlier this week.
Located in Hamburg, Germany, the pop star's latest wax incarnation was inspired by her appearance at the 2019 iHeart Radio Music Awards and features a replica of the sparkly purple bodysuit she wore on the red carpet. But that's pretty much where the similarities end, according to Swifties online who took to social media to share their dislike of the statue on social media.
“WHO IS HE,” a person he tweeted.
“They made my girl so dirty 😭” another fan he wrote
Panoptitkum also attempted to recreate Swift's famous heart, but several fans pointed out that they missed the mark there as well. although the 14-time Grammy winner usually does the sign with all her fingers curled, the statue's fingers are open.
“The real atrocity here is the inaccurate heart hand I'll get sick,” one person added to X.
Swift has served as a muse for many a wax figure during her career, with Madame Tussauds constructing several for its various locations around the world. In 2022, for example, the museum's Dubai location unveiled a clone of the “Anti-Hero” singer dressed in her 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards look. Before that, London's Madame Tussauds unveiled a figure of her Swift inspired by her “Shake It Off” music video.
