Dave Portnoy Gets His Flowers For Being A Longtime Swiftie!
The owner of Barstool Sports took to social media over the weekend to reveal that he attended the second night of Taylor Swifts Eras tour in Miami, Florida and called the show “spectacular.” However, he revealed that he recently saw a viral video of a girl 'slamming' him saying he's a 'fake Swiftie' and that 'Taylor's camp hates him'.
“It should have been a celebration and this girl is raining on my parade saying, 'They don't like you' so and so,” he continued, before adding the video he mentions to his clip. However, to refute claims that he is a fake fan and that Swift “hates” him, Portnoy showed a letter he received from Swift herself, which was delivered to him by her superstar brother, Austin.
The letter, signed by Swift, reads: “Dave, I'm so happy to have you on the show tonight! I wanted to say thank you for always being so supportive, so loyal and always having my back when a lot of people didn't. I hope you have a good time tonight!”
Portnoy continued, “That should have been the highlight right? When Taylor gave me that handwritten note. Or maybe when Andrea's mom came over and Austin said, “Hey, my mom wants to meet you,” and we had a real hug. Almost tearful, like a real hug. [She said]”Obviously, we've been watching you for years and you kind of understand the nuances because people have built for you and we appreciate the support.”
“Who are you to guard Swifties?” Portnoy noted the original video that upset him.
