Taylor Swift will wake up fans in the best possible way this week. In cooperation with Good morning Americathe pop star revealed on Monday (March 11) that she plans to give sneak peeks at the exclusive auditory surprise songs featured on the Disney+ edition Eras tour movie, one day at a time on the ABC talk show.
The “Anti-Hero” singer personally shared the news with fans in a clip he posted on GMA's socials, seemingly shortly before taking the stage at one of the ongoing Eras tour concerts. “Good morning, America,” she told the camera while dressed in the sparkly, colorful bodysuit she wears in the opening numbers of her three-hour show. (The pop superstar just finished a run of concerts in Singapore, which also marks the final leg of her Eras tour before her next album, Department of Tormented Poetsarrives April 19. The tour continues in Paris on May 9.)
“Tune in every day this week for an exclusive look at audio tracks from Eras tour, my version,” he continued with a smile. “Don't miss the movie when it hits Disney+ this Thursday [March 14] at 6 p.m. Peaceful.”
Swift will tease the first of four surprise songs on Tuesday (March 12), according to GMA. “It's TAYLOR WEEK,” the show captioned the musician's clip. “@taylorswift13 sneaks a peek at 4 audio songs that will be on the @disneyplus version of 'Taylor Swift | The Era's tour (Taylor's Version)” all week.”
The 14-time Grammy winner's hit film premiered in AMC theaters in October, instantly becoming the highest-grossing concert film in history with more than $92.8 million after just one weekend. In December, Swift made an extended cut of the project available to rent on demand to celebrate her 34th birthday, featuring performances of “Wildest Dreams”, “The Archer” and “Long Live”.
The Disney+ version will include even more previously unseen content. In addition to the four new acoustic songs (one of which is “Maroon,” according to a recent trailer), the streaming version will include footage of Swift performing it Folklore single “Cardigan” for the first time.
