Taylor Swift’s dad has been accused of assaulting a photographer in Sydney, after the singer finished her Australian tour.
Scott Swift, 71, allegedly assaulted photographer Ben McDonald at a ferry wharf at around 3am on Tuesday morning.
Police confirmed an investigation into the alleged incident has been launched.
Ben, 51, told the Daily Mail Australia that Taylor and her dad got off a boat after leaving her final Sydney performance, and “charged” at him.
He claimed not to know what triggered the alleged assault, saying: ‘He probably decided he needed to defend his daughter, for some reason.”
It’s believed Taylor and Scott had been out celebrating her final Sydney show.
During her Australian Eras tour, Taylor played to over 300,000 fans in total, with shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
