Taylor Swift’s personal trainer has opened up about the routine that prepared her for the Eras tour.
Kirk Myers detailed the intense fitness training sessions that ensure the superstar is in peak physical condition.
“Some people would probably throw up or have to lay down on the floor if they trained like her,” he revealed in an interview with Vogue magazine.
Myers told that the pair approached her training with the mindset of a professional athlete.
“There was an ‘off-season’ when she wasn’t touring and ‘in-season’ when she was,” he shared.
He further explained that ahead of the tour’s official opening in March 2023, Swift worked out six days a week, sometimes for two hours a day.
Myers heaped high praise on Swift and her work ethic, saying it’s “incredible” to work with her.
He noted, “I’m ready to be known as ‘Taylor Swift’s trainer.’ I don’t think there’s a cooler title out there. It’s super-inspiring to see her consistently overcome obstacles and become better and stronger in the end.”
The Eras Tour is the ongoing sixth concert tour by the singer-songwriter.
Consisting of 152 shows across five continents, it is set to conclude on 8 December 2024 in Vancouver, Canada.
Taylor’s 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, was released on Friday 19 April.
