American Idol is in its top 24, and next week's episode will feature a star-studded list of artists.
Teddy Swims, Lauren Spencer Smith and Paul Russell are set to take the stage on the three-hour April 14 episode of the singing competition series, where the top 20 will be revealed.
Swims is a Hot 100 chart topper with his viral hit “Lose Control,” from his 2023 album, I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1). “It's only 1 o'clock, but it's 5 somewhere, isn't it?” Teddy Swims marveled. Advertising sign after “Lose Control” crowned the reckoning. “I called my beautiful mother [and] he said, “We did.” I couldn't be more grateful. I feel so protected. I feel like God's favorite child right now.”
Spencer Smith, if Idol alum, revealed in February that she is working on the long-awaited follow-up to her debut album, Mirror. Russell recently released “Eat Pray Love” to follow up his 2023 hit “Lil Boo Thang.”
American Idol airs Sunday (April 14) at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, before being available to stream the following day on Hulu. Not registered yet? Hulu's most popular plan is currently $7.99 per month after a seven-day free trial.
