Beatles fans are receiving gift after gift this month, starting with the arrival of the still-unreleased song “Now and Then” late last week and followed by a bold music video for the song directed by Peter Jackson. And later this week, expanded reissues of the group's greatest hits compilations, known as Red (1962-1966) and Blue Albums (1967-1970) – It will be performed.
“Now and Then” is billed as “the last Beatles song,” and on the new Billboard Pop Shop podcast, Katie and Keith wonder: Is this really the case? After seeing artists like Prince with a seemingly endless vault of unreleased material, it's hard to imagine a world that doesn't include unreleased Beatles music in the future.
