There is movement in the Beatles camp.
Less than six months after the Fab Four released their latest single, 'Now And Then', the legendary The British band's website and social accounts tease another release.
The post simply reads “There will be an answer,” a lyric from the 1970 song “Let It Be,” accompanied by four blank frames, placed to resemble the artwork for Let it be album. And the cryptic clue, “Finally…”
Below that, the Disney + and Apple Corp. logos.
Internet researchers predict that both parties will release Michael Lindsay-Hogg's 80-minute film from 1970. Let it beon the streaming platform.
Lord of the Rings Filmmaker Peter Jackson used the Lindsay-Hogg drives for his marathon, three-part documentary series The Beatles: Get Back, which captured the final stages of the Beatles' creative period and was streamed at the end of 2021 on Disney+.
Let it be premiered in theaters back in 1970and was released on home video formats in the early 1980s, but was never officially released on DVD, Blu-ray or licensed for streaming.
Jackson and his team helped bring “Now And Then” to life, then backed up to direct its delightful official music video.
“Now And Then” began life as a demo written and sung by John Lennon, later developed and worked on by Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, and completed by Paul and Ringo, the surviving members of the Beatles, more than 40 years after the team started working on it.
The late Lennon's vocals were recorded on tape in the 1970s and remained there until Jackson came up with a solution. The New Zealander and his team developed a technology for the three-part documentary series that allowed Lennon's vocals to be decoupled from his piano piece.
The single reached No. 1 on the official UK Singles Chart, breaking a record in the process and marking the Beatles' 18th chart-topper in their homeland.
