The past, present and future of bass music will come together at UKF's monumental London launch, a night the beloved brand is calling “a night for the history books.”
According to UKF, the show, which will feature a cast of artists who have shaped the genre over the years, is the largest ever to be staged in the city. It is scheduled to take place on December 13 at London's famous Drumsheds venue.
The lineup reads like a bible of bass music, each act a chapter in the genre’s evolution. Headlining the bill are Pendulum and Knife Party, both projects featuring Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, revered for their impact on drum & bass and electro. Joining them are Nero, whose cinematic dubstep profoundly influenced the genre’s global growth, and Circus Records co-founder Flux Pavilion, a key figure in the 2010s dubstep scene.
The line-up also includes celebrated “Purple City” producer Joker, as well as iconic duo Caspa and Rusko, pioneers credited with popularizing dubstep in its early days. Fusing jittery basslines with the urban rawness of grime, their 2007 collaborative album Living tissue.37 remains deeply influential, connecting the genre's underground spirit to the mainstream and inspiring a generation of producers in its wake.
Representing that generation at Drumsheds are 33 Below, MPH, The Caracal Project and EDM.com Class of 2023 star IMANU, among other stars of tomorrow, rounding out a lineup that sparkles with as much novelty as nostalgia. At the time of writing, UKF has only released the first phase of the lineup, which you can see below. More artists will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Pre-sale is scheduled to begin on September 4 at 11 a.m. local time, before tickets for the event go on sale the following day at the same time. You can register for early access here.
