The Associated Press reports that the exhibition dedicated to arguably the greatest rapper alive will now be available in print as The Book of Hov: A Tribute to Jay-Z will be available on Wednesday (Dec. 4), as Jay-Z celebrates 55 years on this Earth. Available for purchase at Assoulinethe 432-page book includes what the 600,000 visitors The Book of Hob First-hand exhibition at the Brooklyn Public Library divided into eight chapters with 675 illustrations.
Per the AP News:
“The Book of Hov: A Tribute to Jay-Z” reveals Jay-Z's deep connection to the art world and his budding business ventures, reveals his unique method of mentally crafting rhymes, and his criminal justice activism and social justice. It offers a tribute to Baseline Studios where “The Blueprint” and “The Black Album” were born. The book also captures him articulating his vision and manifesting his future through a series of interviews spanning several years.
Some of the book's other highlights include Jay-Z's guitar playing at Glastonbury Festival. Daniel Arsham's sculpture of the iconic “HOV Hands”? His Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Award. and hundreds of paper airplanes, created by New York students who wrote their dreams inside.
“The Book of Hov: A Tribute to Jay-Z” will be available in three editions: The Classic Edition for $120, the Ultimate Edition for $2,000 and a price upon request for five special limited edition copies of one triptych each in a copper case by Arsam.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the special limited edition will go to the Brooklyn Public Library.
We don't know about everyone, but if we put down $2,000 for a book about Jay-Z, we better get a chance to meet him in person or a golden contest ticket or something. I'm just saying.
