Legendary British punk group The Damned have announced a North American headlining tour surrounding their June 8 appearance at the recently announced No Values festival in Pomona, California. The outing will mark The Damned's first US tour in 35 years with original drummer Rat Scabies, who recently rejoined the band.
The classic early '80s lineup of Scabies, singer David Vanian, guitarist Captain Sensible and bassist Paul Gray will kick off the 10-date tour on May 27 in Toronto and conclude the tour on June 15 in Portland, Oregon. .

According to a press release, The Damned will focus on selections from their albums from the late '70s and early '80s. Machine Gun Tag, The Black Album, and strawberriesas well as favorites from their first two albums. Damn, damn, damnand Music for pleasure – including the 1976 song “New Rose”, considered the first official UK punk single, predating the Sex Pistols and The Clash.
Before the North American performance, The Damned will play Japan and Australia in March. They will also tour the UK in August and December. Tickets for their concerts outside the United States are available here.
Commenting on his return to the band, Rat Scabies simply said, “Be careful what you wish for.”
