'Moana 2' is in theaters this week and we go behind the scenes with directors Dana Ledoux Miller, Jason Hand, David G Derrick, who share more about new characters, new music and more.

I sat down with the directors of 'Moana 2' to talk about the new characters in the film.
David G. Derrick:
And I love that we have Simea and she is both an emotional connection for Moana, but also a symbol of the future for her people.
Tetris Kelly:
How it went from a television series to the big screen.
Jason's hand:
I can't wait for everyone to see it. Honestly, it's fantastic.
Tetris Kelly:
And I became a voice actor for a day. It's Motufetu, we found it very quickly. Now I'll start with something that I hope is simple, but that will challenge you a little. Describe 'Moana 2' in one sentence.
Jason's hand:
Maui, Moana and their team embark on a new epic journey along with some new friends.
Tetris Kelly:
There are so many new and amazing characters. So the first one I want to talk to you about is her little sister because Moana is a very iconic character, so bringing in a little sister is a very important thing. So how did you approach bringing his character into this?
David G. Derrick:
Yeah, we really wanted to show a way that Moana could have something that her people could look forward to in the future. And I would love for us to have Simea, since she is both an emotional connection for Moana and a symbol of the future for her people.
Tetris Kelly:
