The Hellacopters have announced the new album. overcontrollerout January 31st via Nuclear Blast. The cover can be seen below.
The LP follows that of 2022 eyes of oblivion and marks the second studio album from the Swedish hard rockers since they reunited in 2021. The new album was recorded at Strawberry Studio and The Honk Palace and is the first Hellacopters record produced entirely by frontman Nicke Andersson. The cover was created by German illustrator Max Löffler.
overcontroller will also arrive when The Hellacopters celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2025. According to the album's press release, “they might have a few more tricks up their sleeve… so keep your eyes peeled!”
The band continues its resurgence after breaking a long hiatus that began in 2008. Before that, The Hellacopters were one of the most prolific bands of the garage-rock revival of the late '90s and 2000s, releasing a steady stream of records, including the acclaimed High visibility (2000) and its follow-up By the grace of God (2002).

In other news, the band recently reissued their last album before hiatus, from 2008, appropriately titled Tackleand have also been added to Little Steven's Underground Garage Cruise, which will set sail in May 2025. As of now, no other live dates have been announced.
