Fortunately, for her fans, that's exactly what they'll get Variety reports that Amazon Prime is gearing up for launch Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Own Words. From a messy relationship to a wild beef with Nicki Minaj that led to a cemetery asking for extra security to keep her mother's grave from being vandalized to being shot by Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion has had a soap opera of a lifetime. since becoming a music star. Now, her days will have an inside look at how these things affected Meghan on a personal level and how she dealt with said setbacks behind the scenes.
Per Variety:
A synopsis for the film — directed by Emmy Award-winner Nneka Onuorah (“Lizzo's Watch Out For The Big Grrrls”) for TIME Studios, Roc Nation and Nneka Productions — says: “Follow the Houston native's journey to stardom as she navigates persistent fame, heartbreak, pressure and success. The documentary unpacks Megan's most vulnerable moments in a powerful way that allows fans to get to know the real Megan Pitt.”
“I am honored to partner with Amazon MGM Studios, Roc Nation and TIME Studios to share Megan's story,” said Onuorah. “Her raw and beautiful spirit really shines through in the film. She is a champion for all women who deserve to have their truth heard.”
We're not expecting Nicki Minaj or her Barbz to tune in, but we better believe a lot of the culture will be visiting In her own words when it premieres on Amazon Prime on October 31st.
We just wonder if any of her rap peers like Cardi B or even Beyoncé will be interviewed for the documentary. Well, probably not Beyoncé, but Cardi B might be a possibility.
