Forty-two years after Ozzy Osbourne bit a bat's head off, the bat world finally retaliated against the rock universe. Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen was bitten by a bat on stage while she opened for AC/DC in Seville, Spain on Wednesday night (May 29).
Along with a video of the incident and her subsequent hospital visit, Momsen posted: “So… ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT… in Seville on Wednesday during 'Witches Burn' of all songs… a BAT flew at me and he clung to my leg…at the time I was performing and I had no idea until the amazing crowd kept screaming and pointing…it was cute but yeah he bit me…so rabies shots for the next two weeks. thank you to all the hospital staff who nicknamed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning…more pictures to come…that's one for the books!!!!”
In footage from the concert, Momsen is seen saying, “You guys are pointing at something and I don't know what you're looking at,” moments later exclaiming, “There's a fucking flying bat on my leg right now! Can someone please help me?” She then screams before declaring, “I really must be a witch!”
Then, his bandmates and a photographer rush to his side, and the photographer removes the bat from Momsen's leg, but not before taking some close-up photos first.
As Momsen mentioned, he'll need to get a rabies vaccine for the next two weeks as The Pretty Reckless will continue to support AC/DC on the latter's UK and European tour until mid-August.pick up tickets here).
Fortunately, he seems to be fine and now has a great rock 'n' roll moment to talk about for decades to come.
The Pretty Reckless are on tour to promote their 2021 album Death by rock and rollwhile AC/DC is in the middle of its first tour in eight years.
