The Recording Academy promoted Adam Roth to executive representative of global partnerships and business development. Roth will be responsible for growing the Recording Academy's global footprint by negotiating and developing comprehensive partnership programs with both globally recognized brands and local on-site sponsors.
Roth previously served as svp of partnerships and business development for the Academy. In his new role, Roth will create new IP and build business around existing IP as a method of generating new global revenue opportunities for the Academy. Roth will also develop programs for the Recording Academy's Grammy Awards season sponsors and create the strategic planning and sales strategy to develop new business opportunities and revenue.
Roth's promotion is part of the Academy's acceleration of its global ambitions. The Academy was founded in 1957 as the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, but has increasingly taken on a global outlook. Her two top officers, Harvey Mason jr. and Panos A. Panag, have Grammy Global Ventures as part of their official titles. Mason is CEO, Recording Academy, MusiCares and Grammy Global Ventures. Panos is president, Recording Academy and Grammy Global Ventures.
“We are thrilled to have Adam as our EVP of Global Partnerships and Business Development,” Mason said in a statement. “… As the Academy continues its work serving music and its creators around the world, I am confident that Adam's new roles will continue to guide our business growth to enable our work to expand in exciting new ways. »
Prior to joining the Academy in 2019, Roth served as vice president of strategic partnerships for the Council of Fashion Designers of America. He also spent seven years at Condé Nast, where he was responsible for developing custom programs for luxury advertising partners.
