Pour a cold one, turn on the air-con: The Veronica' Gothic summer has arrived
Spanning eight sweaty, pop-punk and high-energy party tunes, Gothic summer is the Australian duo's first international album release in ten years and the first through John Feldmann's Big Noise Music Group.
Feldmann, singer and guitarist with Goldfinger, produced the new collection for which the Aussie act enlisted a list of top collaborators including Travis Barker, Sierra Deaton, Ryan Linville (Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan), Zhone (Troye Sivan, Kim Petras) and Chris Collins (Royel Otis, Matt Corby).
“This time feels like a celebration of music, perspective and life,” says Veronica Advertising sign via email. “Creating 'Gothic Summer' has been an unexpected creative journey and we look forward to bringing the tour to the US and reconnecting with so many of our international fans.”
Brisbane-born identical twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso have entered the ARIA top 10 with each of their previous five studio albums (their self-titled third studio album from 2014 is the last to gain full-scale international release ).
Veronica have topped the Australian singles chart several times, including 2007's “Hook Me Up”, 2014's “You Ruin Me” and 2016's “In My Blood”.
With “Untouched” (via EngineRoom/Sire), Veronica enjoyed a hit in the US when it entered the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 following its release in 2007.
In support of the new release, Veronica will embark on a 22-date US tour from April 3rd to May 5th. Gothic summer The trek will stop in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Boston, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles and more, marking the group's return to American stages after almost a decade.
