The Wiggles have released a new EDM album (yes, you read that right) called The Wiggles Soundsystem: Rave of Innocence.
Featuring 14 Wiggles classics remixed as EDM songs, The Wiggles Soundsystem: Rave of Innocence is managed by Australian DJ and Justice Crew member Lenny Pearce, who is also the twin brother of the purple Wiggle John Pearce. The remixes were also done by DJ Dorothy, the beloved dinosaur, who appears on the album cover.
The Wiggles Soundsystem: Rave of Innocence features killer techno remixes of Wiggles favorites “Fruit Salad,” “Bouncing Balls,” “Hot Potato” and more. There's also a fascinating reworking of “Baby Shark,” which, well, you'll just have to hear for yourself.
Marking the debut of The Wiggles Sound System, a press release describes the album as “an electrifying fusion of nostalgia and party-starting techno beats” and “a pulsating musical journey that's part wild party on the dance floor and part toddler tantrum tamer.” Blue Wiggle member Anthony Field said: “It's amazing to see people in their 20s and 30s who grew up enjoying our music in a completely new and fun way… and this remix album is kind of an extension of that. . It's a wild ride: DJ Dorothy is on fire!”
As if it were the most anticipated album release of the decade, a fan under the alias legweights94 found a USB drive containing the entire album. It's not the first time The Wiggles have experimented with more mature music.
