Producers, this is your chance to have your music featured in a console game from the iconic Atari.
Electronic music production school ICON Collective has teamed up with Atari for a new remix contest inspired by the company's upcoming game. Years on the risea spiritual successor to the 1982 classic Yars Revenge. The producers are tasked with remixing “Disconnection,” a song from the official soundtrack of the original game by Moe Shop and YUCe, and the winner's remix will appear.
Atari and ICON will award three remixes. Third place will receive recognition on both companies' social media channels, a copy of the game and a ticket to the “ICON Rising Training Camp” in Los Angeles this fall. Second place will receive a “Years on the rise care package,” an “ICON gift package” and a ticket to training camp. The grand prize winner's music will appear on Years on the rise and they will also get the care package and a month of weekly tutoring sessions with an ICON Collective instructor.
The competition will run from June 21 to July 12, 2024 and the finalists will be announced the following week. You can find full details and submit your remix on the here.
