They Liv3 is an underground trio from Milwaukee, Wisconsin consisting of Jaysin Logik, King Relik & Prolifik. All of them have collaborated extensively with each other since signing to Force 5 Records as solo artists before forming a group together over a year ago and properly presenting themselves as a unit on their self-titled debut. However, with the first quarter of 2024 wrapping up over the Easter weekend, The Liv3 are linking up again for a debut EP.
“TCOB” starts off by connecting horns, kicks and snares so everyone can go at each other on the mic, while “Galvanized” goes rap rock to talk about the real deal. “Evil Wayz” organically brings a trap vibe to Memphis to get into their bad bags and after an interlude, “Hollow” featuring Rick Dogg works through those summery guitar passages going where the wind blows while the trapped ” Killaz” talks about drinking. . “Crazy” with their deejay, Danny Diablo drop out Obey with a hardcore 2 minute jam.
The title track was a solid showcase of chemistry and They Liv3 Obey continues to further establish itself as one of the most accomplished groups the Milwaukee hip hop scene has to offer right now. The production goes from boom bap to rap rock, Memphis rap, trap and even a bit of hardcore punk as they all continue to ping each other as impressively as they did on the debut 13 months ago.
