If you're looking for a family-friendly respite from the rave, look no further than “Kaleidoscope Kavern,” a new lazy river installation where rafters float through a fantasy of technicolor imagery and surreal art.

As visitors float through the multi-sensory multimedia tunnel, they encounter undulating, mind-blowing visual patterns and soundscapes inspired by the natural beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. The immersive nature of lazy river is further enhanced by its spatialized audio, Moment Factory tells us.
“We are grateful to have collaborated with Wilderness at the Smokies on this bold project,” said Lyes Belhocine, producer for Moment Factory's theme parks unit. “By providing a clean slate for creativity, we worked together to bring this unique vision to life. We were encouraged to create an experience that was immersive, surprising and unforgettable.”

Pete Tennis, general manager of Wilderness at The Smokies, says there are nine quixotic themes that visitors can experience, such as “Aurora + Aqua Borealis,” where motifs of water and sky collide in dreamlike fashion.
“This is literally a one-of-a-kind lazy river that was created specifically for our resort,” Tennis saying. “Mesmerizing lights and patterns are projected onto the tunnel walls, tubes and even the visitors' bodies, and then when you combine them with the sounds of nature, it really makes this immersive experience an incredible odyssey. No I can wait for everyone to experience it.”
