The real-life Timothée Chalamet — not to be confused with the countless doppelgängers who swarmed Washington Square Park this past weekend to compete in a lookalike contest — is set to portray Bob Dylan in the upcoming biopic A Complete Unknown. We’ve already seen the trailer for the film, which chronicles Dylan’s early years in New York City in the 1960s, but today Searchlight Pictures has offered a new teaser which recreates which offers an extended preview of Chalamet singing “Subterranean Homesick Blues.”
The clip, which can be seen below, also sees Chalamet recreate the cue card scene from the original video for “Subterranean Homesick Blues” as well as features behind-the-scene footage from the film.
Directed by James Mangold (Logan, Ford v Ferrari), A Complete Unknown is set to open in theaters on December 25th, 2024. Alongside Chalamet as Dylan, the film stars Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, and Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax.
