Looking in the mirror at Tomorrowland has never been more tempting after the iconic EDM festival brand formally announced its long-awaited fantasy novel series. THE BOOK OF WISDOM.
Tomorrowland had been teasing the fictional adventure series since June 2022, but it will now officially launch in the fall, according to a press release. In collaboration with Blackstone Publishing, the first novel in the series, THE GREAT LIBRARY OF TOMORROWIt will hit US stores in October 2024.
Written by Mexican author Rosalía Aguilar Solace, the book follows Helia, a guardian of humanity's values, who is attacked along with her partner by a mysterious villain. After her sacrifice, she races to find answers and stop the threat before it consumes the magical world of Paperworld. Read the full synopsis below.
Helia has been the Sage of Hope for the Great Library of Tomorrow for centuries. She is one of the chosen few who embody and protect the values of humanity in the many realms of Paperworld, which are connected within the Library through magical Portals controlled by the Book of Wisdom.
But even her hopes are tested when she and her companion Xavier, the Sage of Truth, are attacked while visiting the famous Rose Garden in the kingdom of Silvyra. Wounded and in shock amid a firestorm, they confront a deadly figure known as the Ash Man. With the Garden destroyed and his dragon protector missing, Xavier sacrifices his life so Helia can return home to warn the other Sages.
But there he finds the Book of Wisdom, always a guide to the Wise, eerily silent. With Ash Man gaining strength, Helia soon finds herself in a race against time, searching for clues to the origins of her enemy and any possible way to defeat him.
Several international publishers are on board to distribute THE GREAT LIBRARY OF TOMORROW in numerous territories, including Australia and the United Kingdom. Tomorrowland has also confirmed versions in German, Dutch, French and Polish, and the brand hopes to translate the series into more languages ”soon.”
